Senior Data Engineer Business Intelligence
Aalberts HFC is in the middle of a transition to one integrated BI platform (Azure analytics server/PowerBI) for the entire organization. Are you the Senior Data Engineer BI we are looking for? You will work together with data analysts and finance and business stakeholders on further developing and maintaining the Microsoft Analytics platform, including data quality, reporting, and developing data integrations.
What will you do?
Within this role you will further develop the data architecture and structure to prepare for data analytics together with the Product Owner and Data Analyst. Defining requirements and translating these into data architecture and database/cube solutions is part of this role. You will build upon and extend data integrations with source systems, such as ERPs, CRM, Digital Commerce, and so on. Furthermore, you will analyze and report on data quality and drive improvements. You will monitor data integrations. In addition, you will develop, maintain and enhance BI reporting within Aalberts HFC.

There are several stakeholders you will be working with. Internally you will collaborate with a Product Owner BI, IT Application Managers, Finance Director, Regional Sales Directors and Supply Chain Management. Externally this only concerns the BI consultants.
Who are you?
You are a self-guided learner and able to pick up things quickly as you go. Experience in developing analytics architecture will come in handy as well as knowledge of integration with ERP systems (SAP preferred). You have a can-do mentality, and you are able to experiment and try new things in an agile team. You are able to deliver results and meet internal customer expectations, also, within challenging deadlines.

Furthermore, you have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant area
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in analytics and/or BI
  • Extensive experience with writing queries (MS SQL), database systems (MS SQL server, Azure Synapse), data integration (Microsoft SSIS, Azure Data Factory), and reporting/dashboarding tools (PowerBI preferred).
  • Fluent in English and Dutch, both verbally and written

Also desirable is that you are open to work with people from different cultures.
